TPS 1- Technological Problem Solving: Problem-Based Learning in Action

Technological problem solving (TPS) is a key component of the grade 1-8 S&T curriculum, and this session will explore how inquiry and TPS are naturally linked. Several rich problem-based projects at various grades will be shared. Participant will be encouraged to share rich TPS projects that their students have tackled, or others that they are aware of.


Brad Parolin

Brad Parolin has taught science from grades 3 – 8, and is currently serving as an instructional leader for grades 1-8 science and technology with the Toronto District School Board. He was introduced to the Smarter Science framework in 2006, and became an early and enthusiastic adopter of this approach.
